A satay food truck is suitable for entrepreneurs who want to sell hot dishes on location. Think of satay as a snack, as part of an Asian street food menu or as a recognisable grill concept for events, markets and private locations.
At Multiwagon, you do not simply configure a sales vehicle. You create a mobile concept that needs to match your daily operations. Important choices include dimensions, workspace, refrigeration, equipment, power supply, serving area and branding.
If you want to start with a sate food truck at home or at private locations, compact usability is especially important. For festivals and busy markets, the focus is more on capacity, preparation, storage and fast service.

| Concept | Key considerations | Suitable direction |
|---|---|---|
| Satay as a snack or side dish | Fast service, hot preparation, refrigeration, packaging | Compact food trailer |
| Full satay menu | Workspace, sauces, side dishes, stock, storage | Mobile kitchen |
| Satay at festivals and markets | Capacity, queue flow, mise en place, sales speed | Larger food trailer |
| Satay food truck at private or business locations | Compact setup, professional appearance, limited space on location | Compact or custom-built configuration |
| Asian street food concept | Combination of satay, rice, noodles, snacks or cold preparations | Custom mobile kitchen |

A satay food truck must be practically designed for hot preparation, safe working and fast service. The exact configuration depends on your menu, but these points should be determined in advance:
Permits, site rules and local regulations differ by municipality, event location and country. Always check in advance which rules apply to your sales location.

Buying a satay food truck is relevant if you want to build a professional mobile catering concept and have full control over layout, appearance and use. You invest in a mobile workspace that needs to perform in daily operations.
Leasing can be an option if you want to start with a professional configuration while keeping liquidity available for stock, brand development, staff and marketing. For Financial Lease, Multiwagon states that you must have been registered with the Chamber of Commerce for at least one year. Calculations are indicative and subject to approval.

Thank you for your interest. Please fill in your details below, and we will contact you as soon as possible about the possibilities.
Note: You must be registered with the Chamber of Commerce for at least one year.

A strong satay food truck starts with a clear sales concept. First determine what you will serve, how much capacity you need and which locations you want to operate at. Only then can you make the right choice for the configuration.
A logical step-by-step plan:
This helps prevent choosing a food truck that looks appealing, but lacks the workspace, storage or capacity needed in practice.

Do you want to be sure which configuration fits your satay concept? In the Experience Center, you can view models, layouts and finishes up close. You can also request an online consultation, where an expert will discuss the possibilities with you.
Bring your menu, desired sales locations, capacity requirements and equipment preferences to the consultation. This allows Multiwagon to advise more specifically on size, layout, technical facilities and appearance.
Experience our trailers and mobile concepts from home. During a live online session, one of our experts shows you the models in real time via smartphone or tablet.
You get a closer look inside the trailers, can view the layouts and see the quality and details up close, almost as if you were there yourself. You also receive personal advice and can ask all your questions from the comfort of your own home.

Does a food trailer need to be inspected annually?
Germany: Food trailers must undergo a mandatory inspection (TÜV) every two years to ensure they are roadworthy and compliant with regulations. We recommend annual maintenance checks to keep your trailer in top shape.
Netherlands: Larger trailers (over 750 kg) require a periodic roadworthiness inspection. While not mandatory annually, regular checks are recommended to ensure your trailer remains in good working condition.
France: Larger trailers (over 750 kg) must undergo a contrôle technique every two years. We recommend regular checks for safety and maintenance to ensure your trailer stays in optimal condition.
Spain: Food trailers with a gross vehicle weight over 750 kg (categories O2, O3, and O4) must undergo periodic roadworthiness inspections (ITV). Trailers up to 750 kg (category O1) are not subject to periodic ITV inspections.
