The idea and the plan
It all began with Teun’s idea. In the middle of changing his course of study, he had six months to spare— the perfect opportunity, he thought, to start something of his own with his buddy Sam. Their plan: a floating smoothie and sandwich bar that supplies sailors directly on the water. The foundation for this ambitious concept? The two of them simply built it themselves!
The Execution and the Solution
After months of construction—filled with plenty of sweat, sanding, and painting—the one-of-a-kind creation was ready. With the Coolrolly from Multiwagon, they found the perfect built-in boat kitchen for drinks, sandwiches, and burgers. Fully equipped, the floating bar was successfully launched, and the dream of “De Sloep” became reality.

Craving burgers and smoothies straight from the water? Teun and Sam look forward to welcoming you! Since June 2023, you can find “De Sloep” every Saturday at the Mosselbanken on the Grevelingenmeer in Zeeland. As the weather on the water can sometimes be unpredictable, it’s best to check their social media channels in advance for the latest opening hours.
