Most trailers come with a fixed electricity connection (220V or 440V). If you choose electric equipment, it will be connected to the power supply. A concession trailer is the fastest, lowest-risk way to start trading food and drink. You avoid the fixed costs of a premises, you choose where and when you work, and you own an asset built around your concept. Unlike a motorised unit, a trailer has no engine to maintain, so more of your budget goes into the kitchen and the customer-facing side of the business.

Whatever you sell, sausages, fries, drinks or snacks, there is a matching model. Our range runs across four tiers so you can pick the right size and finish for your concept:

Low overheads, full control of your concept and branding, flexibility to follow the demand across markets and events, direct customer contact that builds loyalty, and a turnkey handover so you trade from day one. Because there is no engine, maintenance is simpler and downtime is lower.

Register your food business with your local authority before you trade and follow the local hygiene rules. For public pitches you usually need a street trading licence or council consent; at events, check whether the organiser holds the permissions. In Ireland and Northern Ireland the EU CoC lets you use the trailer directly. In Great Britain a new trailer goes through Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) at a DVSA test centre before first use; the CoC and our build documents are the evidence for that inspection and we explain who arranges it before you sign. Trailers up to 3,500 kg can be towed on a standard car licence. Have the gas installation checked by a Gas Safe registered engineer before you trade.

Every Multiwagon concession trailer is built in Europe and holds EU type approval. You receive the EU Certificate of Conformity (CoC) on delivery. In Ireland and other EU markets the CoC lets you use or register the trailer directly. For Great Britain the trailer goes through Individual Vehicle Approval, and a complete CoC keeps that inspection simple. Gas and electrical installations are built to professional standards. Import VAT is 20% and under the UK-EU trade agreement there is normally no customs duty. This is why more than 5,000 customers have chosen Multiwagon and rate us 9.2.

A warranty, current certification, a layout designed around your menu, the latest equipment and full ownership with no hidden history.

A lower entry price, but usually unknown wear, older or worn equipment, no warranty and often no clean documentation.
For a business you rely on daily, a new trailer is the safer investment. The upfront saving on a used unit is quickly eaten up by repairs and downtime. A new Multiwagon trailer trades from day one and holds its value.
A concession trailer is towed, not driven, which keeps it affordable and simple to maintain and lets you unhitch and leave it on a pitch. It suits classic trading, markets, fairs, festivals and fixed council pitches, where reliability and a large serving hatch matter more than a compact motorised body. If you need a fully built kitchen on a fixed footprint, our containers are the alternative.

You can buy your catering trailer outright or spread the cost with a lease. Buying makes you the owner immediately with no monthly commitment; leasing protects your cash flow in the first year. Ask our team for the option that fits your plans.
A compact trailer is ideal for tight pitches, single-product menus and lower investment. A larger trailer lets you run a full menu, serve more customers per hour and win fixed event contracts. Think about your busiest day, not your quietest, when you choose the size.

With no engine, upkeep is straightforward: keep the kitchen and hatch clean to hygiene standards, service gas and electrical systems on schedule, check tyres, lights and the coupling before towing, and keep your paperwork in order. A well-maintained trailer stays reliable and holds its value.
